Laughter Lines: Leeds Comedy Festival 2012 | TQS Magazine

TQS is thrilled to be an official partner of this year’s Leeds Comedy Festival: Laughter Lines, which is running across the city 28th April-4th May.

Comprised of 15 shows taking place across 8 venues in one special week (there’s even a film screening as well which TQS is co-organising). Leeds Comedy Festival showcases some of the best up-and-coming comedy talent around, alongside the most exciting and impressive headline acts in the country – all presented in some of the best venues our city has to offer.

Some of the established comics taking to the mic include: Paul Foot & Henning Wehn but there really is something for everyone at Laughter Lines. The 28th April holds Comedy Club 4 Kids which promises “cracking entertainment for everyone over the age of six, we have the best comedians on the UK circuit doing what they do best… but without the rude bits!”. We’re also particularly looking forward to an evening of PLEB Talks (a pastiche of TED talks) which also takes place on the 28th April.

As previously mentioned, TQS are partnering with both Leeds Comedy Festival and community cinema organisation Miniciné to hold a screening of dark comedy World’s Greatest Dad starring Robin Williams. Billed as “bold & provocative” by The Guardian, World’s Greatest Dad will be screened on Thursday 3rd May in the charming mini cinema at Armley Mills, tickets cost £5.
