Top 7 luxury things to do in Leeds this payday | TQS Magazine

It’s nearing the end of the month and that ever dwindling pay-packet has reached the point when you realise the rest of the month isn’t going to be very fun, well if you’re anywhere near as terrible with money as me it is. What better way to get through the broke blues than to plan how to spend money you don’t even have yet! Here are our top 7 of the finer things to do in Leeds this payday, one for every day of the week.

Monday – Do a Patsy & Edwina

It was recently announced that Absolutely Fabulous will be returning to our screens and what better way to celebrate than a trip to Patsy & Edwina’s favourite store, Harvey Nichols.  From the lavish window displays to the charming doorman you know you’re in for a treat from the start. Whether you’re looking to blow your pay on some designer threads, enjoy a little sushi or stock up your larder with the finest produce then you’re in the right place. But whatever you do, don’t get your car clamped in front of it like Patsy & Edwina did!

Tuesday – dine out

Leeds has more top-notch restaurants than you could shake a stick at but for the true luxury experience visit either Loch Fyne or Restaurant Bar and Grill in city square for fine dining ina  stunning outdoor location.

Wednesday – sisters are doing it for themselves

This one is only for the ladies I’m afraid, Waterfall spa based in the Brewery wharf area of the city centre is a luxury spa and beauty salon which would be perfect to rejuvenate after last night’s feast!

Thursday- kick back and relax

Carrying on from yesterday’s indulgence, Residence 6 serviced apartment Leeds, located in the Grade II listed Old Post Office building in City Square is the only 5 star rated city centre accommodation and is a must-stay if you’ve got a budget to blow. Looking down the list of available services has me almost reaching for the phone to book a room for the night: Molton Brown bathroom amenities, massage and spa services, private gymnasium, personal shopping and delivery services, including groceries etc And best of all: Playstation 2 + games library!

So, get a personal shopper to bring you some nice food whilst you pop to the gym, finish your workout with a relaxing massage, pamper yourself with some Molton Brown goodies and then chill out in your room and play Playstation all night. Perfect.

Friday – view the city from above

Mint hotel’s Skylounge offers stunning panoramic views of Leeds (as well as further afield in Yorkshire on a clear day) and offer sumptuous surroundings for sipping cocktails to really get your weekend started off with a bang. Just don’t drink to many or else the beautiful view becomes crippling vertigo!

Saturday – retail therapy

Work through last night’s hangover with a visit to The Knightsbridge of The North, Leeds’ Victoria Quarter. From Mulberry to Vivienne Westwood the indoor shopping quarter offers the best designer fare, a good choice if you have any money left from trip earlier in the week to Harvey Nichols.

Sunday – Let tiny fish nibble at your feet

Now this may not sound the luxury you were expecting from the introduction but this phenomenon has swept the nation and Leeds is certainly no exception with 3 of these ‘fish-foot spas’ in the city centre. Our favourite has to be Aqua Preena on Central Road. With its kitsch décor and even kitschier music you’ll be hard pushed not to enjoy your experience once you get over how weird it feels at first!

So there we have it, our luxury picks for everyday of the (payday) week. Did I miss your favourite spot? Let me know in the comments below.
