Review: Scissor Sisters: Live in Victoria Park | TQS Magazine

They have toured the world, collaborated with the likes of Elton John and Kylie Minogue & sold millions of albums.  Now, following their recent UK 2012 Tour and their latest album, this brand new DVD contains the stunningly electrifying Lovebox performance (and plenty of rubber) from the Scissor Sisters at Victoria Park in London on 17 July 2011.

Colourful and glitzy as ever, the New York outfit who brought garish costumes and twisted disco sounds to the capital, fully embraced the weekend’s flamboyant spirit.

Sadly, the DVD feels a little short with only 11 tracks (full list below) making up the set. There is an interview with band about halfway through which whilst interesting, doesn’t really pad out the running time enough.

Having said that, what is there is excellent. The band’s energy translates well on stage with Jake Shear’s bouncing around with his signature camp energy.
