Organisers of the Arab Shooting Championships Award Ceremony in Kuwait have faced criticism after a comedic song from the 2006 film and pop culture phenemenon Borat was played instead of the Kazakh national anthem. Kazakh gold medallist Maria Dmitrienko looked bemused as the song was played in full during the ceremony on Thursday. Coronation Street’s William Roache on Sleeping with 1,000 Women: “Well, I’m not denying it.” Coronation Street actor William Roache has admitted to sleeping with near to 1000 women in an interview for ITV’s Piers Morgan’s Life Stories. The Press Association reports that the 79-year-old actor, who has been playing Ken Barlow in the soap for over 50 years, admitted to having slept with more than 100 women. The estate of Ian Fleming has signed a 10 year deal with the Random House Group to print Fleming’s 14 Bond novels and two non-fiction works in print and e-book format. Vintage, a division of Random House, has acquired the publishing rights in place of Penguin. The first Bond novel, Casino Royale, was published by a sister imprint of Vintage, Jonathan Cape, in 1953. John Fashanu Claims Gay Footballer Brother, Justin, Was Lying About His Sexuality Sports personality and TV presenter John Fashanu has made headlines this week by claiming that his brother Justin, who was and still is the only openly gay professional footballer in the UK, lied about being gay for media attention- according to the Press Association. A campaign for the capture of an alleged Ugandan War Criminal has become a Youtube and Twitter sensation as it received mass celebrity backing. A 30 minute video created by the organisation Invisible Children to raise awareness of Kony’s crimes has received nearly 40 million views on the web. The group also launched a Twitter campaign with the tag #stopkony which has been supported by celebrities such as Rihanna and Bill Gates.
