TQS StaffIt has now been confirmed that Conor Maynard will be officially joining the lineup for ‘As One in the Park’ in 2013. He will be performing on 26th May, 2013 in Victoria Park. ‘As One in the Park’ includes many other pop music artists in the line-up. Some of the popular ones are Katy B, Union J, Boy George & Marc Vedo, Rita Ora, Rylan and Skin (DJ set). There will also be a very rare appearance from none other than, Holly Johnson, from the popular British band, Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
‘As One in the Park’ is being presented by Orange Nation. This event is deemed to be the first large-scale gay festival in London in more than ten years. With this event, London will be in the likes of other major European cities. For a long time, Victoria Park has been a prime festival site. Many popular large-scale events including Field Day have been hosted in Victoria Park. ‘As One in the Park’ is the next day from ‘Field Day’ and the same production crew and infrastructure will be used.
The headline artist for the main stage has been announced. With no surprises, it will be BRIT nominee, Rita Ora. She will be performing three of her No.1 hits from albums like ‘R.I.P’, ‘Hot Right Now’ and ‘How We Do (Party)’. Moreover, she will also be performing other singles including the latest, ‘Radioactive’.
As mentioned earlier, Holly Johnson will also be making a rare appearance. However, most people don’t know that this will be his first London appearance in several years. Holly Johnson shot to fame with Frankie Goes to Hollywood and there was no looking back after that. He will be performing solo hits with classic tunes from Frankie Goes to Hollywood. His performance will include ‘Welcome to the Pleasuredome’, ‘The Power of Love’ and ‘Relax”, son that celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
Katy B and Union J will also be performing live on the stage. Moreover, you will also be able to witness Israeli superstar DJ, Offer Nissim.
‘As One in the Park’ will be a large-scale event; 4 large indoor arenas and 5 additional stages are being arranged. The Circuit Arena will be presented by international circuit parties, Matinee, WE Party and The Week, while The Best of British Arena will be presented by Orange, Beyond and Salvation.
Other popular brands like Shadow Lounge, Delooded, Madame Jojo’s, Bearracuda, L Fest, Girl Action, Mint, FNDHRR, Rupert Street, Ku Bar and Comptons will also be involved with the show. Even more brands are supposed to be announced soon.
‘As One in the Park’ is being held since 2012 at Vauxhall’s Fire. As mentioned earlier, it is London’s biggest gay-club event which has brought together numerous brands, sponsors and promoters together from all across the globe.
