Chloe Howl – Rumour (above)
She’s a mix of Katy B and Lily Allen, and a much better version of Kate Nash. She is Chloe Howl, the 17 year old latest singing to Sony. After her first track ‘No Strings’ [https://soundcloud.com/chloehowl/chloe-howl-no-strings] went crazy on the blogosphere, her follow up ‘Rumour’ proves she’s not a one trick pony. With a great backing drumbeat and slick synths accompanied by Chloe’s gritty London accent and storytelling lyrics, Rumour proves that this freckley red head is on the verge of blowing up.

Azealia Banks – Barely Legal

Azealia Banks proves she can do more than rap fiercely and premiers some great(ish) vocals on ‘Barely Legal’ – a cover of indie rockers The Strokes. The track is produced by Brooklyn trio Lindbergh Palace and is as far away from the original as possible. The track is catchy and a bit different from the ‘212’ rapper’s usual, but it seems Banks is putting out these free downloads (check out her re-edit of Baauer’s viral sensation ‘Harlem Shake’ [http://vimeo.com/59786752]) for her fans just to hide the fact that the release of her debut album ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ has been pushed back many times. The first release from the album has been confirmed to be ‘YUNG RAPUNXEL’ and Banks tweeted that its official release will be March 26th.

Duke Dumont feat. A*M*E – Need U (100%)

This track is from London DJ and producer Duke Dumont and features the vocals of 18 year old newcomer A*M*E. The track has already been made C-List on BBC Radio 1 and has been popping up in DJ mixes everywhere. With the increase of air time on Radio, I predict big things for this track; however will it be a one hit wonder? Need U (100%) released March 31st on Ministry of Sound.

AlunaGeorge – Attracting Flies

This due can do no wrong. Aluna Francis and George Reid were voted number 2  in BBC Radio 1’s ‘Sound Of 2013’(robbed of number 1 by Haim) and after the release of their EP ‘You Know You Like It’ they have already scored a top 5 single, featuring on Disclosure’s huge track ‘White Noise’ Attracting Flies is the first take from their long awaited debut album ‘Body Music’ and it does not let down. The electro-poppy vibes and great production from George teamed up with Aluna’s smooth vocals is proof that this due are sure to have another chart hit in no time!
