Oscar Nominees' Screenplays as Word Clouds | TQS Magazine

Rather than add our little needed two cents into The Oscars debate, we thought we’d do something a little different here at TQS. We’ve taken the screenplays of all the nominees we could find in the Best Original Screenplay & Best Adapted Screenplay categories and turned them into word clouds where the size of the word indicates how often it was used in the screenplay. We’ve had to remove a couple of frequently occurring technical terms like “int.” and “ext.” as well as some dull words such as “the”, “he” and “she” in order not to skew the graphics .

Anyway, we hope you enjoy them – the closer you look the more interesting stuff you’ll see! Click the images to get a larger version.
