A stage production featuring many classic The Beatles songs is due to hit the West End in September this year.
The show, called Let It Be, will be the first production to receive theatrical rights to The Beatles’ songs. BBC News reports that the show will tell the story of the band’s rise to superstardom using video footage as well as over 20 performances of some of their greatest hits, including Yesterday, Twist and Shout and Hey Jude.
The show will run from 14th September to 18th January at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
Yet another great celebration of British pop history is set to storm the stage in this remarkable year for culture and pride in ole Blighty. With performances of The Beatles’ iconic songs, it would be hard not to get toes tapping. Here’s hoping it is at least on a par with We Will Rock You and Jersey Boys.
