Paco Rabanne’s fragrance advertising campaigns always catch our eye, remember their 1 Million ad campaign set with the clicking guy set to Chemical Brother’s do it again for example? Well for the Black XS fragrance (the one whose old poster still makes me weak at the knees), Paco Rabanne have teamed up with Universal Music to create a pretty cool musical platform and interactive game called Be A Rockstar.
The game (which you can find here) requires you to upload a photo and enter an email address (but you can opt out of marketing messages if you prefer) and after you’ve digitally mapped your face the game begins! Starting with seeing your name up in lights and fans holding up placards with your face on it through to using the arrow keys to push away paparazzi right up to getting on stage and having the crowd scream your name, it’s a pretty fun game. I had a go and if you fancy seeing my distorted face in the spotlight click here.
Black XS fragrances are also giving you the chance to ‘go backstage’ to discover the more intimate live moments with groups such as Cold War Kids, Two Door Cinema Club, and Leeds’ very own Kaiser Chiefs. Then there’s the Black XS Off Shows; consisting of nine musical episodes, the series will be shown throughout the year on www.be-a-rockstar.com, as well as on the Black XS YouTube channel.
As well as all the above the partnership are also offering the opportunity to win great prizes from the fragrances themselves through to gig tickets, backstage passes and free downloads.
