These days, dressing well is as easy as learning your ABC. Menswear, especially here in good old Blighty, has come on leaps and bounds over the past few years. The first London Collections: Men of the year was a stonking success, and in case you missed it, we’ve pulled together our favourite looks from men’s fashion week by some of Britain’s best menswear talent, under three key trends:
All Black Everything, celebrating our inner goth, dressing top to toe in nowt but noire. Throw in a dash of colour with an accessory, or cover your hair in bright paint if you must, but come September we expect as much monochrome as you can muster. Make It Blue, will allow you, we suppose, to indulge in a little colour blocking. Basically, if it’s any variant of the hue, we’re on board. Bonus points if you wear with nothing else coloured. Black and blue never looked so good. Finally, the bit of your brain you need to ignore in 2014 is the bit that asks Can I Really Wear That? because the answer is yes, yes you can. Throw caution (along with shame and comfort) to the wind, and make a bold move this autumn with loud prints or pink fluff. Go on, we dare you.
